Very beautiful church with a fantastic view to the mountains. Was here for a baptism and the ceremony was a great experience. Every one made us feel welcomed.

Very picturesque place of worship. While I'm not Catholic, I must admit that so many small historic mountain towns often have beautiful older Catholic churches. Estes Park, Colorado also has a magnificent old log lodge-style structure. There is something ineffably "Holy" feeling in so many Catholic Churches that appeals to me aesthetically and spiritually. As a non-denominational protestant Christian, I simply don't choose the Catholic faith. I always do however admire a fellow ("quiet") Christian of any stripe, as long as they respect other folks' choices, Christian or not. Catholics are most certainly Christian, and I admire so many of their congregations' members with conviction. In word and action. *My primary reason* that I posted here (LOL), is I finished raising my small family in Castle Rock, and often admired the picturesque view if St Francis of Assisi Church , and the winding drive past it down Hwy 86. It was about a 400ft drop in elevation from Founder's Village to what was the somewhat quainter still small town feel in the 90's. I'd then see the steeple bells of a now relocated church at the bottom , just before town proper. How Castle Rock has grown! I still love that town! Beautiful Catholic Church!
